What happens when I book a consultation?

If you are interested in booking a consultation please contact a member of our friendly team who will be happy to answer any questions you may have initially. We will facilitate a consultation with one of our experienced surgeons at your convenience in a location near you.

At your consultation you will meet with the surgeon who would be operating on you and have a discussion regarding your clinical requirements. Following your assessment, plans would be made for the way forward surgically.

Why is there a consultation fee charge?

At Breast Augment we stringently follow national recommendations and guidelines relating to consultation charges. Our professional body of surgeons will dedicate their time to you in clinic to assess you and answer any questions you may have from the outset and throughout your surgical journey. However, we also understand that a consultation charge should not be prohibitive hence our surgeon’s consultation fee is £25.

How do I know what implant size is best for me?

In your consultation you will have a discussion with your surgeon relating to what style and size implants are going to be right for you. The decision is made with you as we feel at Breast Augment that breast augmentation surgery is not just a procedure but more of a life event.

What implants do you use?

At Breast Augment, we strive to offer the highest quality implants to our patients. For this reason we choose to use Allergan Natrelle range. These implants come with the best guarantee Allergan offer. At Breast Augment, we go a step further to offer you further peace of mind. What is the difference between round & shaped implants?

There are two main styles of implants; round and shaped (anatomical/teardrop). At your consultation you will discuss with your surgeon which style is right for you depending on your requirements and desired outcome.

Are implants safe?

Allergan implants have been on the market for 37 years and are FDA approved with up to 10 years of safety data. They are also the most widely used implants in the UK.

What is anaesthesia?

For a breast augmentation procedure you will be offered a general anaesthetic (being put to sleep), which has an extremely high safety record.

How long will the procedure take?

1-2 hours

How long will I be in hospital?

In the majority it will be a one night stay.

Where are your hospitals?

Our hospitals are located nationwide. Please click to find a location near you.

How long will recovery be?

Recovery for a breast augmentation is 2-3 weeks. After this time you will be able to drive and return back to work. For further information discuss with your surgeon.

Does a breast augmentation affect breast feeding?

Having a breast augmentation does not affect your ability to breast feed.

Does having breast implants affect screening?

Having breast implants will not necessarily impact on your ability to assess yourself, however, if you are to have a mammogram in due course there is some reduction in the mammogram sensitivity. As a result mammography centres are aware of the implant limitations and will work around this.

Other investigations such as ultrasound or MRI scans may supplement screening the breast or implant if deemed to be clinically necessary. If you have any questions regarding this, please discuss with your surgeon.

What aftercare do you offer?

We take aftercare very seriously at Breast Augment. Please contact us to find out more information and please click here to find out more about our aftercare packages.
